Srinagar, July 8: At least two soldiers were injured after terrorists attacked an army vehicle in the Machhedi area of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Reports said that terrorists opened fire on army vehicle in Badnota village. The soldiers retaliated, leading to an exchange of fire.

As per reports, two soldiers sustained bullet injuries in the attack. They were moved to a nearby health facility for treatment. However, the exact number of soldiers who were injured in this attack is still un-known.

A police official said that reinforcements have been rushed to the site.

There have been a spate of terror attacks in the Jammu region in the past couple of months.

On June 9 , nine people were killed and 33 injured after a bus on its way to the Shiv Khori cave temple came under attack in Reasi district.

On June 12, security forces killed two infiltrated terrorists in Hiranagar area of Kathua while three terrorists were gunned down on June 26 in Doda district. (KDC)
