Srinagar, July 06: An exchange of fire took place between militants and security forces in Mudergham area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.
A police officer told KDC that a team of Police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Mudergham on a very specific input.
As the joint team approached towards the suspected area, the hiding militants fired upon the joint party, leading to a brief exchange of fire, the officer added.
