Srinagar, June 10, KDC: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) R. R. Swain has confirmed that Pakistani terrorists, with the aid of a few local agents, were responsible for the recent terror attack in Reasi district. The attack, orchestrated from jungle hideouts, involved four Pakistani terrorists and one local terror associate, aiming to destabilize the region and ignite communal tension.
While speaking with a TV Channel, as per Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com, DGP Swain highlighted the strategic approach of the terrorists to avoid populated areas, thereby complicating counter-terrorism efforts. “Pakistan is trying to spark communal tension in this part of J&K,” he said, emphasizing the broader intent behind these attacks.
The DGP’s revelation underscores the ongoing security challenges in Jammu and Kashmir, where foreign and local elements collaborate to disrupt peace and harmony.
Authorities are intensifying efforts to track and neutralize these threats, with increased surveillance and intelligence operations in the region.
The involvement of local agents, according to DGP Swain, adds a layer of complexity to the situation, as it requires a multifaceted approach to address both the external and internal threats. The security forces remain vigilant and committed to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens, working tirelessly to prevent further incidents.
The recent attack in Reasi has once again brought to the fore the persistent threat posed by cross-border terrorism and the critical need for robust security measures to safeguard the region’s stability. (KDC)
