ANANTNAG JANUARY 14, KDC: In Anantnag, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra transcends mere statistics, weaving a captivating tapestry of transformed lives. At its core lies the distribution of Ayushman cards, an initiative offering comprehensive health coverage of Rs 5 lakhs per family per year.

This deliberate effort not only fortifies health infrastructure but also empowers individuals and families, fostering a resilient and healthier community.

The yatra unfolds stories like that of Abdul Razaq Dar, a labourer whose life changed after an eight-year struggle with knee pain. Through Ayushman Bharat, he underwent a life-changing knee replacement, expressing gratitude for the newfound ability to stand on his feet.

Ghulam Hassan Shaksaz, supporting a family of eight with limited income, found hope through Ayushman Bharat when faced with unbearable hip pain. His admission to a public hospital not only restored his strength but renewed hope through what he perceived as divine intervention in the form of PM-JAY SEHAT.

Manzoor Ahmad Wani, a resilient farmer, endured two decades of hip pain. Ayushman Bharat provided him with a successful hip implant, bringing immense relief after years of suffering.

In Bijbehara, Nayeem Ahmad Hakeem, a barber, found hope for his fractured leg through Ayushman Bharat, marking a journey from challenge to positivity and hope for recovery.

In Pushroo village, 70-year-old Gul Mohammad Wani, a hardworking field laborer, faced a significant setback with a leg injury. Ayushman Bharat not only provided financial assistance but also brought a new lease of life and hope to his entire family.

These narratives reflect the transformative impact of Ayushman Bharat in Anantnag, illustrating how healthcare becomes a beacon of hope, breaking barriers and healing lives.

Envisioned to achieve Universal Health Coverage, the initiative combines Health and Wellness Centers (HWCs) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).

Covering over 12 crore poor and vulnerable families, PM-JAY is the world’s largest health assurance scheme, offering cashless access to healthcare services and mitigating catastrophic medical expenditure.

The scheme covers a wide range of medical services, including diagnostics, medicines, surgeries, and post-hospitalization follow-up care. Ayushman Bharat resonates as a resounding success, not just in Anantnag but across the nation, ensuring that healthcare becomes an empowering force, delivering need-based and comprehensive services to those who need it most.
