Srinagar, Dec 30, KDC: PDP President and Former Chief Minister of erstwhile state of J&K, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday questioned the District Administration Pulwama for brazenly violating the NIA court order of administering oath virtually to incarcerated Waheed Para saying that Para was denied of his fundamental right.
According to news agency Kashmir Dot Com-(KDC), the NIA court had directed the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama to administer oath virtually to the jailed newly elected DDC candidate and PDP Youth President Waheed-ur-Rehman Parha online.
In the backlash of violation of the court order Mehbooba took to twitter and wrote, “NIA Court clearly directed @dcpulwama to administer oath to PDPs @parawahid. Yet the administration chose to brazenly violate this order. Won’t be an exaggeration to see it as mischief to deny Waheed his fundamental right. @ECISVEEP @KKSharmaJK”.
Pertinently, 14 DDC candidates have registered victory in Pulwama district. However, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parha was earlier arrested by the NIA in the Devinder Singh case due to which he could neither participate in the election campaign nor took oath. (KDC)
