SRINAGAR, November 22: Apni Party delegation led by General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir on Monday visited the families of the two civilians killed in the recent Hyderpora encounter.

Besides Mir the delegation comprised of State Secretary and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-din and District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh.

In a statement to news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) the party said that the delegation visited the residences of Mohammad Altaf Bhat at Barzulla and Dr. Mudasir Gul at Baghat-Kanipora where they met the family members of the deceased. The visit was conducted on the directions of Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.

The delegation expressed profound solidarities with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.

“Apni Party from day one of this encounter was in favor of an impartial probe and return of the bodies of victim civilians to their respective families for their rightful decent burial,” Mir said while talking to the family members.

He said the killings of the innocent civilians cannot be justified on any pretext and measures should be taken by the government to prevent such mishaps in the future.

“The authorities need to take requisite steps in regards to the Hyderpora incident so as the people can continue to repose their faith in an impartial and just system. I am hopeful that justice will be delivered to these bereaved families and underlying facts about this incident will be brought into light,” he said.

The delegation conveyed heartfelt condolences from the Party President to the bereaved families and assured Party support to them at this difficult time. (KDC)
