I never acquired any land under the scheme: Taj

Jalil Rathore

Srinagar, Nov 26, KDC: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday booked former minister & Congress leader Taj Mohiuddin in connection with alleged multi-crore Roshni land scam.

According to news Agency KDC, Taj Mohiuddin was formally booked by CBI for allegedly having acquired a huge area of land under Roshni scheme, while using his political influence.

Meanwhile according to some reports several other names have surfaced in the alleged scam, which include politician turned bureaucrat Syed Farooq Shah and sister of Bollywood actors Feroz and Sanjay Khan, who are said to have benefitted from Roshni Scheme.

Meanwhile Taj Mohiuddin, while talking to KDC refuted the allegations and said that he has never availed any land, anywhere under the scheme; however he said that he and his family has land in Jammu, which was purchased by the family way back in 1992.

This all is because of political vendetta that the ruling party is pursuing against its opponents, to draw benefits in upcoming DDC elections,” Taj Mohiuddin said. (KDC)
