Three Kashmiri students were suspended by the college and booked by police in Agra after India lost to the Pakistan cricket team in the T20 World Cup Match on Sunday.

These students are from engineering college in Uttar Pradesh Agra, where the police has also filed a First Information Report (FIR) that has also been registered against them for allegedly raising pro-Pakistan slogans and uploading social media posts in favour of Pakistan after India-Pakistan T-20 World Cup match.

The college authorities have told Jammu and Kashmir Students’ Association (JKSA) that the students, identified as Arshid Yusuf, Inayat Altaf Sheikh and Showkat Ahmed, “raised pro-Pakistan slogans and uploaded status in favour of Pakistan after the India Pakistan match”.

“An FIR has been registered against these three Kashmiri students after the BJP youth leader filed a police complaint against them for what they said, ‘shouting pro-Pak slogans after Pakistan defeated India in the T-20 World Cup match,” said JKSA.

Earlier, at least 14 Kashmiri students were thrashed in different cities and 7 of them sustained injuries on the night of 24 October when Pakistan won the T-20 World Cup match against the Indian team.
