New Delhi, Feb 19: Senior Leader and Social Activist from Jammu and Kashmir Mir Javid Amin called senior BJP Leader Rajendra Agarwal MP Meerut Speaker Lok Sabha (Panel).
Mir Javid in a statement said that during the meeting various issues were discussed which include removal of encroachment over State Land/ Kachar-i-Land/ Migrant Properties / Mandir Properties, the same needs to be retrieved from those influential persons and they be put behind them bars.
It was conveyed that the authorities of UT of J&K be conveyed that poor and landless people be protected at the time of eviction drive and the land to the extent of 10 Marlas be given to those poor and landless people, as the people of Jammu & Kashmir are supporting the campaign to establish supremacy of rule of law, which is equal for all encroachers irrespective of any dissemination or favouritism of some, it said.
According to statement the Senior Member has assured Mir Javid that he will take the matter with high-command so that poor and landless people will not be touched during eviction drives and will be given 10 Marlas of land. He has further assured that the encroachers will be dealt strictly in accordance with law of land.
“During meeting the issue vis-à-vis Kashmiri Pandits, who have left the Valley during turmoil, whereby the Senior member have further assured that the Government of India was/is doing their best to resolve the issue of Kashmiri Pandits and GOI is working on the principle of equitable development besides ensuring the welfare of every section of the society and community and welfare of the employees from minority community.”
“Ensuring a safe and secure environment for the minority employees posted in Kashmir Division, he also stated that all the issues and demands projected by Mir Javid would be redressed.”
According to statement it was further reiterated that the Government of India will not allow anyone to take law into their own hands in any manner, at any cost, and the GOI will not left the people of J&K at any cost and will fulfil their promise for the betterment of Union Territory of J&K as well as the people who have faith over the democracy. During the meeting it was further discussed regarding various issues of students and youth related programs, policies in the UT, demands welfare for students of UT of J&K including establishment of Universities, training courses for teachers of higher education, establishment of degree college in other Districts of UT of J&K. The other demand was put forward by Mir Javid for augmentation of sports, education and infrastructure facilities, road connectivity, development of religious shrines and tourism promotion in and around far-flung areas, upgradation of health facilities, power supply.
During the meeting it was further stated to fill up all vacant posts on a fast track basis and resolve the issues of daily rated workers. Shri Rajendra Agarwal assured that all possible support for redressing the grievance of the people of Union Territory of J&K will be redressed without any hesitation.
