Man injured, fifty livestock perish as lightning strikes seasonal hut in Rajouri

Rajouri Oct 20: A man was injured while around fifty livestock perished after lightning struck a seasonal house in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district, officials said on Thursday.

The incident took place in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

Police said that lightening struck a dhok (seasonal house) in Bari Behak area of Thanamandi in which three nomad families suffered loss as around fifty cattles of theirs got perished.

A local man identified as Mohammad Junaid son of Faiz Hussain resident of Gambhir Mughalan was injured in the incident.
