Srinagar, Nov 3, KDC: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Srinagar Zonal Office, is conducting search operations at four premises in Srinagar in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged terror funding case involving Umar Adil Dar and his associates.

The investigation pertains to allegations that Dar was functioning as an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of the banned terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and was involved in activities linked to the outfit.

According to the investigation, Dar and his associates were earlier apprehended while allegedly carrying a substantial amount of cash and incriminating literature related to the banned organisation.

The probe has also revealed that Dar had previously spent approximately four years in jail in connection with his alleged involvement in separatist and anti-India activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

The ongoing searches are aimed at tracing suspected proceeds of crime, identifying financial networks and funding channels, examining their alleged links with handlers operating from across the border, and gathering further evidence relating to the suspected terror financing activities.

The search operations were underway at four locations in Srinagar. (KDC)
