Kupwara, October 31, KDC: District Police Kupwara, in coordination with the district administration, organised a live screening of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Parade at Simari village in Karnah, described as India’s first village along the Line of Control (LoC), on Friday.
The live telecast of the parade, held at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat, brought the national celebrations of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to residents of Simari and neighbouring villages of Karnah, enabling people in the far-flung border area to participate in the celebrations commemorating national unity and integrity.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 500 people, including a large number of students, who gathered to watch the live screening of the parade.
The event provided an opportunity for residents of different villages to come together and celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, highlighting the spirit of national unity and collective identity.
The initiative reflected the message of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’, emphasising that every citizen and every village, irrespective of geographical location, is an integral part of the nation.
The celebration conveyed the message that geographical distance cannot diminish the spirit of national unity and that even remote border villages remain connected to the country’s national celebrations. (KDC)
