New Delhi, Sep 11: Mirwaiz Kashmir, Dr Mohammad Umar Farooq, on Friday met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during his visit to New Delhi.
According to a statement, Mirwaiz travelled to the national capital at the invitation of Iranian Ambassador to India Dr Mohammad Fathali to participate in an interaction with President Pezeshkian, who is in New Delhi to attend the BRICS Summit.
The interaction, hosted by the Iranian Embassy, brought together religious leaders, intellectuals and other dignitaries.
During his visit, Mirwaiz Umar also visited an exhibition commemorating children killed in Minab.
The meeting comes as the Iranian President is in India for engagements linked to the BRICS Summit.
