Srinagar, Sep 8: SKIMS Medical College Bemina has warned Clinical Resident Medical Interns (CRMIs) of disciplinary action over prolonged absence from duty, directing them to explain their absence within 24 hours.
The administration said the absence of several interns had affected routine patient care and emergency services at the hospital.
In show-cause notices issued to the absentee interns, the authorities referred to their joining undertakings requiring adherence to discipline and institutional rules. The notices caution that continued absence could invite action, including curtailment, suspension or cancellation of internship, as applicable under the rules.
The interns have been asked to submit their explanations within the stipulated 24-hour period, failing which the administration said the matter would be dealt with under the applicable regulations.
