Srinagar, Aug 12: This Independence Day, Airtel and Netflix are bringing stories of courage, sacrifice and national service to audiences through a special watchlist led by Operation Safed Sagar, inspired by the Indian Air Force’s Golden Arrows Squadron and its role during the 1999 Kargil War.
The initiative seeks to turn the story of the air warriors who served in some of the most challenging conditions of the conflict into a nationwide expression of gratitude under the campaign #MillionThankYou.
Netflix is bringing Operation Safed Sagar to screens across India, while Airtel is inviting people to join the tribute and collectively thank the Indian Air Force.
As part of the campaign, Airtel has set up Thank You Stations across 11 cities in 10 states. Those unable to visit a store can participate through Airtel’s dedicated WhatsApp journey and send their messages of gratitude from anywhere in India.
Users can share their message by sending a WhatsApp message to +91 92895 59403 and watch Operation Safed Sagar online.
The initiative aims to encourage audiences to not only watch the film but also revisit an important chapter of India’s history and recognise the courage and sacrifice of those who served.
