Srinagar, July 5, KDC: Twenty-three Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers are likely to be inducted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the AGMUT cadre, with all pending issues in the process having been resolved, official sources said.
Sources said the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had sought clarifications regarding certain court cases linked to the induction process, and the requisite response has since been submitted, clearing the way for further action.
Following the clearance from the MHA, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) is expected to issue the formal notification for the induction of the 23 JKAS officers into the IAS shortly, the sources said.
Upon induction, the officers will become part of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre and may be posted in any of the cadre’s constituent States or Union Territories in accordance with the cadre allocation policy, the sources added. (KDC)
