Srinagar, June 6, KDC: The Security Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police will deploy advanced security equipment at various Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2026 camps to strengthen safety and security arrangements for pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage.

According to a statement, the Security Wing has enhanced its preparedness by equipping personnel with a range of modern security devices for access control and anti-sabotage operations. These include portable RCIED jammers, deep search metal detectors, explosive and liquid explosive detectors, non-linear junction detectors (NLJDs), contraband busters, vehicle search mirrors, optical fiberscopes, CCTV systems, X-ray baggage inspection systems (XBIS), vehicle-mounted XBIS, multi-zone door frame metal detectors, hand-held metal detectors and other specialized equipment.

The statement said that a physical inspection and live demonstration of the security gadgets was conducted at Security Lines Kashmir, Batamaloo, on Friday under the supervision of IGP Security, J&K, Sujit Kumar Singh.

The demonstration was attended by DIG Security J&K Rashmi Wazir, Staff Officer to IGP Security J&K Rakesh Kumar, SSP Security Kashmir Sajjad Khaliq Bhat, SSP Technical VIP Security Khalid Amin and SSP STWS J&K Mohammad Ibrahim, among other officers.
