Srinagar, June 02: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Tuesday rejected Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma’s recent claims regarding instability in the Omar Abdullah-led government, asserting that the administration remained stable and that only the people possessed the authority to determine its future.
His remarks come amid escalating political exchanges over governance and repeated opposition claims questioning the durability of the National Conference-led administration ahead of the ruling party’s June 3 meeting.
Talking to reporters, Choudhary said Sunil Sharma was making “immaterial statements” merely to remain in the news and dismissed suggestions of political instability.“Government is stable and intact. Only people can dismantle the government,” he said.
