In a statement, a police spokesperson said, Police Station Rainawari, acting under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, attached a single-storey residential house along with land measuring 11 marlas belonging to accused Bilal Ahmad Patoo S/o Ali Mohammad Patoo R/o Sultan Mohalla, Saidakadal, Srinagar. The accused is involved in FIR No. 39/2022 under Sections 8/20-29 of the NDPS Act.
He said, the said property has been identified as an illegally acquired asset generated through proceeds of drug trafficking.
He further said that this action underscores the firm commitment of Srinagar Police to dismantle the financial networks of drug peddlers and curb the menace of narcotics in the region. Citizens are urged to continue supporting police efforts by sharing information related to drug trafficking. (KDC)
