Srinagar, Mar 22, KDC: Citing the “emerging situation in the Gulf region” and its consequential impact on certain essential support systems, the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir is contemplating the conduct of teaching activities in an online mode for a temporary period, while introducing a flexible mode for registration for the Spring Semester-2026. The university said students will have the option to complete registration either physically at their respective faculties/colleges or through online mode, with the last date extended till March 27, 2026.
According to an official notice issued by the university, a copy of which is in the possession of news agency Kashmir Dot Com, the registration process, originally scheduled for March 23–24, will now be conducted in a flexible mode, allowing students to complete formalities either physically at their respective colleges or through online mode. The last date for registration has also been extended to March 27, 2026.
The university said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure academic continuity and minimize disruptions arising from external factors impacting essential support systems.
It further directed Deans and Associate Deans of various faculties and colleges to make necessary arrangements for facilitating online registration. They have also been asked to communicate details regarding fee structure, online payment mechanisms, and course offerings to students, reported Kashmir Dot Com.
The notice added that schedules for online classes will be notified separately by the respective faculties at the college level.
Students have been advised to remain in regular contact with their institutions and follow instructions issued by the concerned authorities. (KDC)
