Jammu, Jan 27, KDC: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, along with officers of all ranks, observed a two-minute silence on Monday in memory of former Director General of Police, B.S. Bedi, who passed away on January 25.
Late B.S. Bedi was a 1961-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He served in Jammu and Kashmir during the turbulent early 1990s and was widely known for his distinguished service during a challenging phase in the Union Territory’s history.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and remembered Bedi for his contributions to strengthening the police force during a critical period. (KDC)
