JAMMU, JANUARY 21: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, today reviewed the implementation of the MSME Health Clinic under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme during a meeting with senior officers of the Industries & Commerce Department and other stakeholders.

Besides Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department the meeting was attended by Secretary in I&C; MD, JKTPO; Director, Industries, Jammu/Kashmir and other concerned officers.

While taking assessment of the progress made, the Chief Secretary impressed upon the Industries & Commerce Department to prepare a clear, time-bound action plan for systematic analysis of all MSMEs across Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the need for defined timelines, measurable milestones and district-wise coverage to ensure the Health Clinic delivers tangible outcomes on the ground.

The Chief Secretary further stressed that timely diagnosis and intervention are critical for safeguarding employment and sustaining economic growth. He directed that implementation be closely monitored and reviewed periodically so that the MSME Health Clinic emerges as a strong institutional mechanism for enterprise revival and long-term resilience in the Union Territory.

The Commissioner Secretary, I&C, Vikramjit Singh took this occasion to inform the meeting that the MSME Health Clinic is being implemented by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu, with an approved outlay of ₹30.64 crore. The initiative aims to provide structured financial and non-financial support to MSMEs through diagnostic studies, counselling, mentoring, handholding and customized turnaround solutions, thereby strengthening enterprise resilience and sustainability.

During the presentation, he highlighted that Jammu and Kashmir has over 8.12 lakh MSMEs, with more than 73 percent formalized through Udyam registration.
