Awantipora, Dec 12, KDC: Awantipora Police, in coordination with security forces, arrested a terrorist associate and recovered a grenade during a joint search operation in Naner Midoora.
Acting on credible intelligence, Awantipora Police, along with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF, launched a search in the area. During the operation, one terrorist associate — Musaib Nazir, son of Nazir Ahmad Teli, resident of Ladhoo Khrew and linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) — was apprehended. A live grenade was recovered from his possession, police said in a statement.
The accused has been booked under FIR No. 257/2025 at Police Station Awantipora under relevant sections of law. Further investigation is underway to uncover his involvement and links within the terror ecosystem.
Police Awantipora reiterated its commitment to dismantling terror networks and maintaining peace and security in the district. (KDC)
