Srinagar, Nov 20: Authorities on Thursday imposed a ban on e-rickshaw movement along two prime corridors of Srinagar to ease traffic pressure in the city’s commercial centre.
A notification issued by the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir said the move follows decisions taken in the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) meeting on November 13, 2025.
Under the new order, e-rickshaws are barred from operating on the Moulana Azad Road stretch between Jehangir Chowk and the J&K Bank headquarters, as well as the Residency Road stretch from Hari Singh High Street to the same junction.
The restrictions have been enforced with immediate effect.
