Srinagar, Nov 14, KDC: The Jammu and Kashmir Transport Department on Friday ordered a significant reshuffle of ARTOs and in-charge ARTOs across multiple districts, effecting immediate transfers in the interest of administrative efficiency.

According to Government Order No. 85-JK(TR) of 2025, a coy of which lies with news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), eight officers have been shifted, with several key districts witnessing changes in their transport administration. Muddasir Ahmed, Jr. KAS, has been moved from Bandipora to Baramulla, while Mukhtiar Ahmed Sofi heads in the reverse direction from Baramulla to Bandipora.

Wajahat Qayoom, earlier posted in Ganderbal, has been transferred as I/c ARTO, BOI Srinagar, while Sheikh Manzoor Ahmed, who was holding that charge, has been posted to Ganderbal.

Neeraj Sharma has been shifted from Reasi to Samba, and Nasir Ahmed, Jr. KAS—who was awaiting a posting—has been assigned to Reasi.

The order further places Mudasir Iqbal, Jr. KAS, from ARTO BOI Jammu to Udhampur, while Jugal Kishore Sharma moves from Udhampur to ARTO BOI Jammu, effectively switching positions.

The government has directed that all officers “shall be deemed to have been relieved from their present place of posting” with immediate effect.

The order was issued by Avny Lavasa, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Transport Department. (KDC)
