Jammu, Nov 14 (KDC): Devyani Rana has registered a sweeping victory in the Nagrota constituency, winning the seat by a massive lead of 24522 votes, election officials said on Friday.
Devyani Rana got a total 42183 votes.
Rana, according to news agency Kashmir Dot Com, secured a decisive lead over her nearest rival Harsh Dev Singh, who managed 17,661 votes. Shamim Begum of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) finished third with 10,834 votes.
The emphatic win firmly places Devyani Rana ahead in one of the key contests of the Jammu, with officials confirming that the counting process has concluded smoothly. (KDC)
