Srinagar, Nov 13, KDC: Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Thursday announced that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of S Krishnan as the part-time chairman of the bank.
In a regulatory filing, the Srinagar-headquartered lender said Krishnan’s appointment is effective from November 13, 2025, till March 26, 2028.
“The bank’s board had, in August this year, approved his appointment,” J&K Bank stated.
Krishnan currently serves as an independent director on the bank’s board. He earlier held the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) at the state-owned Punjab & Sind Bank.
Following his superannuation, Krishnan also served as MD & CEO of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank from September 2022, after securing approval from the RBI for that role. (KDC)
