Srinagar, Nov 8, KDC: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday carried out coordinated search operations across multiple jails in the Kashmir Valley, official sources said.
The searches were conducted as part of an ongoing security review to detect any illegal communication devices or materials that could aid subversive activities, they added.
Teams of CIK officers jointly inspected barracks and inmates’ belongings in collaboration with jail authorities.
An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the operation was aimed at tightening internal security and preventing any misuse of prison facilities. “These checks are routine but crucial for maintaining discipline and ensuring that no unlawful activity takes place inside jails,” the official added.
Further details are awaited. (KDC)
