Srinagar, Nov 6, KDC: The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) on Thursday expressed deep concern and solidarity with its National Convenor, Nasir Khuehami, whose residence in Bandipora was completely gutted in a massive fire incident earlier in the day.
In a statement, the Association termed the incident “deeply distressing” and extended its full support to Khuehami and his family during this difficult time. “The loss is not just material but deeply personal. We stand firmly with our Convenor and his family as they recover from this tragedy,” the Association said.
JKSA also appreciated the efforts of locals and fire service personnel who rushed to the spot to help douse the flames and rescue those trapped inside.
Khuehami’s family members, including his parents, elder sister, and cousins, sustained injuries in the blaze and are currently under medical care. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.
Political leaders, former ministers, and representatives from various parties have conveyed their sympathy and prayers for the family’s speedy recovery. (KDC)
