Sopore, Oct 14, KDC: In a compassionate outreach effort, Sopore Police on Tuesday distributed essential items among deserving families across the district under the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Civic Action Programme, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
The distribution drive was held under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sopore, Iftkhar Talib (JKPS), and witnessed participation from families representing all police station jurisdictions of the district.
Items distributed during the event included sewing machines, wheelchairs, blankets, heaters, and school bags with books and stationery, aimed at providing meaningful support to underprivileged families ahead of the approaching winter season.

Effective policing begins with compassion and trust, and through such civic programmes, we aim to reinforce both.”
The event was attended by several senior officers of Police District Sopore, including the Additional SP Sopore, SDPOs, DySP DAR, DySP Ops, and SHOs, who interacted with the beneficiaries and encouraged them to benefit from such welfare programmes.
