Srinagar, Oct 6 (KDC): In a major organizational exercise ahead of the forthcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Body elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday announced a new list of constituency in-charges across several districts of the Union Territory.

A party spokesperson said the nominations are aimed at strengthening the PDP’s grassroots network and enhancing coordination among workers at the local level. “These appointments have been made to mobilize the party’s organizational structure and ensure greater engagement with the people in the run-up to the local electoral process,” the spokesperson said.

Kulgam District: Mohd Sartaj Madani (Devsar) and Gulzar Ahmad Dar (DH Pora).

Pulwama District: Zahoor Ahmad Mir (Pampore), Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra (Pulwama), and Rafiq Ahmad Naik (Tral).

The PDP leadership expressed confidence that the newly appointed constituency in-charges will work closely with local workers and community representatives to strengthen the party’s presence on the ground and address public concerns effectively.

“The Peoples Democratic Party remains committed to empowering people through grassroots democracy and ensuring that their voices are heard in every forum,” the statement added. (KDC)
