Budgam, October 1, KDC: Under the directions of SSP Budgam, a police team of Soibugh carried out a drive to destroy wild cannabis (wild bung) plants across several areas during the Sewa Parv campaign.
Large patches of wild cannabis were uprooted and destroyed in areas including Warsangam, Paimus, Wadwun, Chupora, Arath, and Dahrama.
Police said the operation aimed to curb illegal cultivation and prevent misuse of narcotic plants in the area.
The Budgam Police reaffirmed that similar drives will continue to target illegal cultivation and trafficking of cannabis and other controlled substances.
