Sopore, Sept 19 (KDC): Continuing its crackdown on separatist-terror networks, Sopore Police on Friday conducted a search operation in connection with FIR No. 33/2025 registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Officials told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the search was carried out at the residence of Ghulam Ahmad Rather, a resident of Saidpora, Sopore, in the presence of an Executive Magistrate to ensure complete legal compliance and transparency.

During the operation, incriminating material associated with Jammu and Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM), a proscribed organisation under UAPA, was recovered and seized.

Police said further investigation is underway to unearth the wider network and establish deeper links with the banned outfit.

Reaffirming its zero-tolerance approach, Sopore Police stated that no individual or group attempting to disturb peace or threaten national sovereignty will be spared. (KDC)
