Srinagar, Sept 19 (KDC): The IRP-9th Battalion, APC Parihaspora, on Friday organized a series of events under the Civic Action Programme (CAP 2025-26), aimed at supporting education and fostering stronger ties between police and the community.

At Government Middle School Chak Ganastan, the battalion distributed educational kits comprising school bags, notebooks, pens, and other stationery items among students. The initiative was warmly received by the children and teaching staff.

In another significant step, a new Computer Lab with three modern systems was inaugurated at Government Primary School Ahanger-Mohalla Yakmanpora. The lab, equipped with updated software, is designed to enhance digital literacy, provide hands-on learning opportunities, and prepare students for future technological challenges. Teachers expressed confidence that the facility will not only boost academic performance but also aid professional development.

The events were attended by students, teachers, local citizens, and members of civil society. Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Mubashir Hussain highlighted the importance of such initiatives in motivating students towards academic excellence while also strengthening bonds between the police and the student community.

Both programmes concluded successfully and were widely appreciated by the participants, who lauded the efforts of the police in promoting education and community engagement. (KDC)
