SRINAGAR, SEPT 1, KDC: District Police Reasi has refuted reports circulating on social media about an alleged “attempt to rape” two women in Chassana area, calling them false and misleading.
Quoting the victims’ statement, police said the women were verbally abused and beaten with sticks, but no complaint of an attempted rape was made.
“An FIR (No. 42/2025) has been registered under relevant sections for assault and abuse. Search operations are underway to nab the accused,” District Police Reasi said on its official handle on X. (KDC)
