Srinagar, August 6: Prominent businessman Tahir Lone formally joined the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today. Lone, who runs the well-known business establishment Makeover, is a respected figure in the local business community and has earned wide recognition for his entrepreneurial ventures.
He was warmly welcomed into the party fold by former J&K Chief Minister and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, during a joining ceremony held earlier today at party office, Srinagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti expressed hope that voices like Tahir Lone’s would help strengthen PDP’s mission of representing the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his remarks, Tahir Lone lauded Mehbooba Mufti for her consistent efforts in voicing the concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially during challenging times. He said her courage and unwavering commitment to the rights and dignity of the people inspired him to be part of the party’s journey. Lone added that he looks forward to contributing meaningfully to PDP’s vision for a just, peaceful, and progressive Jammu and Kashmir.
