Srinagar, June 22: In a significant stride towards empowering tribal communities and ensuring comprehensive access to government welfare schemes, the “Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan” was successfully conducted today at Gojathaji village of Block Khansahib. The program was meticulously organized by the Rural Development Department, underscoring the government’s commitment to last-mile delivery of services and holistic development in tribal areas.
This event is a crucial component of the nationwide “Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)” and “PM-JANMAN” initiatives, which are currently running from June 15 to June 30, 2025. The core mission of the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan is to achieve 100% awareness and benefit saturation by November 15, 2025 – Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas – ensuring that every tribal household is reached and no one is left behind.
The Rural Development Department successfully organized “Benefit Saturation Camps” to deliver essential government benefits and services directly to residents of Gojathaji and nearby villages. These camps offered instant registration and processing for a wide range of individual entitlement cards and government schemes, covering identity documentation (Aadhaar, Caste, Domicile), food and nutrition (Ration Cards, Poshan Abhiyaan), health and insurance (Ayushman Bharat, PMMVY, TB Mukt Bharat, Nikshay Poshan, Mission Indradhanush), financial inclusion (Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra loans, Stand-Up India, PM Vishwakarma, Van Dhan Yojana), and agriculture and livelihood (Kisan Credit Cards, PM-KISAN, MGNREGA).
The initiative included extensive awareness campaigns through loudspeakers in local dialects, interactive sessions, and multilingual materials. It also focused on strong community mobilization, involving local volunteers, Self-Help Groups, and Farmer Producer Organizations to ensure participatory governance. A key highlight was a dedicated campaign for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) awareness, screening, and counseling, directly benefiting tribal individuals. The program also empowered tribal youth to become “Digital Warriors,” fostering local agents of change.
The Block Development Officer, Khansahib, affirmed the government’s commitment to tribal community development, highlighting the “Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan” as a crucial step in bridging last-mile delivery gaps and promoting holistic well-being.
The successful program at Gojathaji, Block Khansahib, today, exemplifies the “Whole-of-Government Approach” and the fundamental principle of “Janbhagidari – People’s Participation” that are central to the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan. It powerfully reaffirms the mission statement of “Bringing Government Benefits to Every Tribal Doorstep” and moves decisively towards realizing a tribal-rich future where every tribal household matters and every voice counts.
