Jammu, Apr 25 (KDC): Amid heightened cross-border tensions in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has directed its staff to remain fully alert and prepared for any emergency situation that may arise.
In a directive issued by the Medical Superintendent, all hospital personnel have been instructed to stay on duty during their scheduled hours and avoid taking unnecessary leave to ensure continuous and efficient patient care.
The administration has specifically tasked the Store Officer and Store Keepers to ensure critical medical supplies, emergency drugs, and lifesaving equipment are ready for instant deployment if needed.
Further bolstering emergency response, GMC Jammu has activated a 24×7 control room to streamline coordination and manage any urgent developments that may occur during this period of uncertainty.
The advisory comes as security agencies remain on high alert across the region, keeping in view the evolving situation along the border. (KDC)
