Anantnag, March 26, KDC: In a major operation against proscribed organizations, Anantnag Police carried out extensive raids across the district as part of an ongoing investigation to dismantle terror-linked networks and curb unlawful activities.
According to a statement “The coordinated searches targeted various locations, including: Mattan Chowk, Anantnag – Residence of Ashaq Hussain Narchor (Tehreek-e-Huriyat), Waghama – Residence of Fayaz Ahmad Dass (Tehreek-e-Huriyat), Satkipora, Srigufwara – Residence of Mohd Rafiq Dar (Tehreek-e-Huriyat), Bijbehara – Residence of Ghulam Nabi Sumji (Muslim Conference), Kadipora, Anantnag – Residence of Manzoor Ahmad Misger (Muslim Conference), Malaknag, Kadipora, Anantnag – Residences of Mukthar Ahmad Sofi & Mukthar Ahmad Waza (Jammu Kashmir People’s League), Zalangam, Dooru – Residence of Mohd Shafi Khan (Hurriyat).”
These operations are part of intensified efforts to neutralize networks that pose a threat to peace and stability in the region, it said.
Anantnag Police has reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring public security. Authorities have urged residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to aid in safeguarding the region’s stability, the statement added. (KDC)
