Budgam, March 25 (KDC): In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Budgam Police have detained eight notorious drug peddlers under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act.
Four of them were detained in March 2025, bringing the total this year to eight. The detained individuals have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Sheikh and Farooq Ahmad Sheikh from Tangnar Chadoora, Mohd Sultan Bhat and Abdul Hameed Dar from Sholipora, Mohd Altaf Ganie from Dardpora, Reyaz Ahmad Ahanger from Shandpora Watakuloo, Mehraj Ahmad Mir from Choon Budgam, and Mohd Rafiq Dar from Russu.
Budgam Police reaffirm their commitment to eradicating the drug menace and urge the public to report any suspicious activities related to narcotics. (KDC)
