SRINAGAR: Former Chief Minister and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti has called on Omar Abdullah to intervene, as, according to her, the Information Department of J&K continues to withhold advertisements from most news outlets, and senior journalists are still awaiting accreditation renewals.

“It’s been over three months since the popular government took office, yet the Information Department continues to withhold advertisements from most news outlets. Furthermore, senior journalists are awaiting accreditation renewals,” Mehbooba Mufti, as per Kashmir Dot Com, said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“I urge Omar Sb to intervene and address these pressing issues so that the press can operate freely and without undue influence,” she added. (KDC)
