SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat has constituted an 11-member House Committee, with Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, serving as the ex-officio Chairman of the committee.
The committee, formed in accordance with Clause 1 of Appendix 1 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the J&K Legislative Assembly, includes prominent members such as Sunil Kumar Sharma, Leader of Opposition; Ghulam Ahmad Mir; Nazir Ahmad Khan (Gurezi); Shamim Firdous; and Surjeet Singh Slathia.
Other members include Ali Mohammad Dar, Sajad Gani Lone, Javid Hassan Baig, Choudhary Mohammad Akram, and Waheed Ur Rehman Para, representing diverse perspectives in legislative affairs.
