Srinagar: In a landmark development aimed at strengthening legal representation and advocacy in the Kashmir Valley, the Kashmir Advocates Association (KAA) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Members of the District Bar Kupwara.

In a statement issued here, the KAA said that this move marks a significant step toward unifying legal professionals under one platform dedicated to the welfare and development of the legal community.

The MoU was signed by Adv. Waseem Gul, President of KAA, and members of District Bar Kupwara through Advocate Shafiq Ahmad Shah in the presence of key legal dignitaries. The agreement formalizes the integration of Kupwara’s legal professionals into the KAA structure, enhancing collaboration and resource sharing.

Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Waseem Gul expressed confidence that this partnership would open new avenues for legal professionals while fostering unity and professionalism. Representatives from both sides echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the shared vision for advancing the legal profession in the region.

“This partnership underscores KAA’s commitment to creating a cohesive legal framework across Jammu & Kashmir, reinforcing its role as a leading body of advocates dedicated to the principles of justice and national service,” the statement said.
