Srinagar: In light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Kashmir Valley on September 19, the authorities have issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth movement and avoid congestion across key routes. The restrictions will be in place from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM, impacting several roads and areas in Srinagar.

According to the advisory, traffic movement from Pantha Chowk towards Ram Munshi Bagh will be restricted during this time period. Motorists traveling between Pantha Chowk and Lal Chowk are advised to take alternate routes via Nowgam, Sanatnagar, Chanapora, Natipora, and Ram Bagh to reach their destinations.

In addition, movement from Police Golf Course/Hotel Lalit towards Gupkar and Ram Munshi Bagh will also be restricted. Commuters from Harwan and Nishat towards Lal Chowk are advised to use Boulevard Road via Nehru Park and Dalgate.

Traffic from Dalgate to Ram Munshi Bagh will be restricted, and motorists are urged to use Badyari, Dalgate, and MA Road or R.R. Road to reach their destinations.

Traffic assistance points have been set up at Panthachowk, Shivpora, Sonwar, Rajbagh, Badyari, Dalgate, Radio Kashmir, Abdullah Bridge, Sangermal, and Lalit Grand Palace. Citizens are requested to park their vehicles at designated parking spaces, as any wrongly parked vehicles will be towed.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed to take the shortest routes, and in case of any assistance, the public can contact Traffic Police Control Room at 103. (KDC)
