Srinagar, June 16, KDC: A cordon and search operation (CASO) is currently underway in the Aragam area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A senior police officer told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a patrolling party from the 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) observed suspicious movement and subsequently opened fire. “The area has been cordoned off and the firing has ceased,” he stated, noting that the incident occurred in a forested region. “We will now conduct thorough searches in the area.”
Additional reinforcements have been deployed to the location and further necessary details will be shared later, he added. (KDC)
