Srinagar, Apr 03, KDC: In a late-night confrontation between law enforcement and gangsters, chaos erupted at the Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua, resulting in a police sub-inspector sustaining injuries and the death of one gangster.
An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that incident unfolded around 10:35 PM, with gunfire echoing through the premises as police engaged in a shootout with unidentified assailants. Preliminary reports suggest that the exchange of fire occurred within the vicinity of GMC Kathua, leaving one police sub-inspector, identified as Deepak Sharma, wounded, he said.
