Anantnag: In continuous action to its effects for eradication of drug menace, today on a tipoff, team of Bijbehara Police Anantnag in collaboration with Drug controlling authority Anantnag conducted various raids at several places in Bijbehara and Hassanpora area.
According to a statement team seized a medical agency at Hassan pora Bijbehara running under name and style Pharma House pharmaceutical distributors run by one namely Aijaz Ahmad and his associate without any authority .The team seized medicines worth laks in his possession under relevant provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act and rules thereunder. The medical sale establishments in the area were also inspected w.r.t sale of medicines having addiction liability.
Chemists in the area were impressed upon to maintain the records of all the schedule H1 medicines properly as per the prescribed norms and were asked to keep proper vigil on every suspicious person.
The public in general were requested to share responsibility of one and all to contribute in eradication of drug menace in the area. (KDC)
