Srinagar, Dec 08, KDC: Dilbag Singh, IPS former DGP J&K attended Internal Security Seminar at Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, TN on 7th Dec. 2023 in which Jt. Secy. NSCS, DGP Assam, Addl. Director, IB J&K and other senior officers participated.

The seminar was a deep drive into the numerous aspects of National Security with special reference to J&K’s intricate landscape and the pulse of NE India. Over 500 officers from all the three services and a sizable number of officers from foreign friendly countries, participated in the seminar. The staff and student officers were enlightened with the dynamics of internal security by the visiting specialists.

Former DGP J&K Dilbag Singh, while addressing the gathering, gave a through insight into the chronology of events as historical perspective to the Kashmir imbroglio and emergence of terrorism in J&K, role of J&K Police along with Security Forces, Intelligence Agencies, other stakeholders and the prevailing encouraging security scenario brought about due to consistent and persistent efforts of the Govt. He also shared his experiences with the participants and deliberated upon the way ahead to achieve the desired end state to put in place sustainable peace and progress in J&K. (KDC)
