Srinagar, Sep 16 : A team of Anti-Corruption Bureau central Kashmir on Saturday arrested a traffic cop for taking bribe of Rs 9,000 in Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district.
An official told the news agency KDC that on the basis of a complaint by one truck Driver identified as Parvaiz Ahmad from Kupwara, ACB team headed by one DySp Ghulam Nabi raided traffic official post inTraffic Check-Post (TCP) Sonamarg today morning and caught red-handed a cop while taking bribe of Rs 9,000.
The cop has been identified as Muhammad Ayoub Dar EXK-022536, working as Selection Grade Constable in Jammu and Kashmir Traffic police.
Further investigation of the case is going on. (KDC)
