Srinagar, Sep 07, KDC: The J&K pollution control Committee today celebrated international day of clean air for blue skies 2023 under the theme of “Together for clean air”.
The event was inaugurated by Regional director JKPCC Kashmir Mr Rafi Ahmad Bhat by kick starting a Plantation drive and was organised by JKPCC in collaboration with Industrial association khonmoh srinagar at Industrial Estate khonmoh.
Speaking on the occasion Dr.Bilquis Ara Sidique chief scientist JKPCC underlined the importance of the subject and gave an overview of the aims and objectives of the program. She said that it is most sensitive, immediate issue that needs to be taken care of, at individual as well as collective levels.
During the event The patron of a prominent NGO of nation Mr. Nazir-Be-Nazir, general secretary Industrial Association khonmoh Mr Sajad Ahmad, principal Madrasa Taalimul Islam and Mr younis Ahmad Bhat were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in the field of environment and related fields.
The students who were present in the function participated in a drawing competition in which top performers were awarded with the appreciation certificates.
The team of officers of district Srinagar, Estates officer, Air lab, and members of Industrial association khonmoh were appreciated for their role in making today’s programme successfull. The event was anchored by Sabiya Mahajan I/c Awareness cell J&K pollution control committee.
